Subject: If I am correct, you want to host your web site in your own computer

Ok, if I am correct, you want to set up your web site in your own server. You also know you need an IP to have this done.

To my knowledge, there are some authority that allots IP numbers. That is just like domain name registration. You can check out the IP authority at where you can find the IP authority. Then you can send a request to them, and hopefully they will instruct you how to get your IP number.

If you want to set up your site in an ISP's server, they can generally  give you an IP number (not every ISP or web host will give you an IP number, many web hosting companies use only one or two IP number for thousands of web sites).
