I think competition should be the centerpiece of our economy so I am very pleased about the agreement you were able to set up between Network Solutions and the Commerce Department regarding domain name registrars.

I support this agreement because I feel that it will be less expensive to pay the registration fees.  But the best thing about the agreement is that it gives people a choice about who they want to go to when they are ready to register a domain name.  I imagine that each company will try to outdo the others as a way of attracting customers and the end result will be that we will have a much better process to work with.

Competition always brings prices down and encourages an improvement in the quality of service, so I look forward to using the new system.
