Subject: competition is always a good thing

I'd like to take this opportunity to comment positively on your effort to widen the pool of authorized domain registrars.

It has been my experience that competition is always a good thing. It can encourage lower rates and faster processing.  I do want to caution you against allowing the quality of service to degrade though.  I hope we won't see a repetition of what has happened with the .gov listings.  If it only costs $6.00 to register, but it never goes anywhere, it's not really helpful to anyone.
