This letter is to comment on the recent announcement regarding an agreement to begin competition for companies which will register domain names.

Although the current cost of registration is not exorbinant, it will be good to see the prices coming down.  It may be that some people who wouldn't have considered a presence on the Web will feel more comfortable about making e-commerce a part of their business.  Who is to say?  It may well help my business by opening up a whole new market sector.
