TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:|
I'd like to comment positively on your effort to widen
the pool of authorized domain registrars. I like the idea of opening the process
up to competition just because we believe it will benefit the market.
I hope competition
will make it easier for me to give customers the service they expect. They
don't always understand the delays and problems that can crop up when you least expect
them and I hope that some of the new companies will have a more responsive customer
service system than what we are used to having.
Another thing that I like is that
the new registrars have to be authorized. Since there hasn't been much choice
in service providers, we would have no way to know if a business is reputable or
not. But it helps to know that they have had to apply and go through an approval
I like this agreement and I like what it will do for the Internet community.
