I find it somewhat strange that
IANA/ICANN has made a redelegation and now decides that the ICANN Board should take
up what constitutes such a decision. That is, after making a decision based
on certain criteria, IANA/ICANN now decides to see if the community agrees with that
criteria. To me, it seem like the cart came before the horse here. The
decision to redelegate the .PN may be the right one, but IANA/ICANN should have gone
through the new procedures which are you are soliciting from the Internet community.
You may have every right to re-delegation under RFC 1591 - it is the first such case
of enforcement of that document - however, opening up the issues in 1591 after the
redelegation seems like a powerplay. I hoped that IANA/ICANN could have
been patient on this issue. Josh
