Daddy says to son:  "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Son's reply:  "I want to be a Director on the DNSO, so ICANN will hand me a new gTLD on a silver platter, just like it did for Ken Stubbs!"

Daddy's follow-up:  "Gee son, that's a lofty goal. You better have lots of favors and high-level positions to offer the Directors who give you the new gTLD. Perhaps you should work for one of the TLD applicants, so you'll have the inside track."

Son's follow-up:  "Yes Dad, then I could make sure I take someone else's great idea and keep it all for myself and friends on the ICANN Board of Directors.  Won't mommy be proud?"

Daddy's reply: "Yes, she will be proud.  You see, there is so much confusion and denial on the ICANN Board of Directors, that a power-play like that will be easy.  And afterward, the Directors will overlook blatant abuse of position and conflict of interest.  Instead, they will bury their heads in the sand, like ostriches, and obsess on nonsense like dot-SUCKS.  Yes son, Mom will be proud".

Son's question: "Daddy, who is Karl Auerbach?"

Dad's answer: "Oh, he's the evil Director, trying to make sure everyone gets a fair shake.  Don't worry son, he'll be outta here soon.  He won't be allowed to board-squat like Kraaijenbrink."

Son's final:  "Gee, thanks Dad.  For a minute, I thought everyone would have the same opportunities and due process.  Thank God it was only a bad dream."
