The expired names I want are being held by NETWORK SOLUTIONS as if they own them.
I can't even transfer to me from the now-previous owner without an NIC (their word)
which is where I agree to register with Network Solutions, pay a registration, and
then pay again for a re-registration, with them. This is competition???????
Another expiry date was three months ago and still NETWORK SOLUTIONS holds it. For
$200 they will "prioritize" my registration. They are clearly, cogently, and convincingly,
impeding competition in an unreasonable manner and are in violation of the ICANN
agreement. Their actions give the lie to the ICANN anouncement that one may register
with others. In practice one cannot. NETWORK SOLUTIONS is oppressive in their actions
and charges which are intentionally not accidentally designed to impede competition
and force money from the public to them. What kind
of lawyers could you have that would let in terms like "reasonable" that are two
steps away from enforcement? And what are the penalties if NETWORK SOLUTIONS is unreasonable?
Apparently none. I think you should do better.
