Subject: You can't victimize the innocent to track the bad guys

We can not afford to victimize the innocent to track the bad guys.
Your reasoning does not stand to reason.

The damage from a few site players is far less threatening than that of some domain orgianzations that can manipulate all the site players or domain registrants by manipuplating their domain names and registration information for a maximal profit at the expense of all the registrants, mostly innocent registrants.  The biggest problem now is that Networksolutions.com as the domain registry is publicly selling off your registration information to marketers.  That is why you get spam mails.  Do you want your children to the porn email? No? Then stop using your private information in your domain record.

As many have noticed, actually there are some companies that offer domain management service such as that of usid.com.  For one thing, when you register a domain name, the only thing to be released is your name and if you like, your address too in the ownership position.  All contact information will be the service providers.  In this way, you get some protection.
