Subject: internic database, dual identical records ?

Hi all,
I've got a problem. Around three years ago I registered n3t.net with register.com . I set up the dns servers ultradns.net when they were still a free service. my old ip 24.2.17.123 is from a cable modem I had three years ago. for whatever reason, that IP address comes up to a good portion of the internet as the ip of n3t.net. still. after three years. I've changed it's IP address a couple of times over the years, and I've always had the problem that many people can't resolve the new IP.

: whois -h whois.internic.net n3t.net =n3t.net

Whois Server Version 1.3

Domain names in the .com, .net, and .org domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

N3T.NET
N3T.NET

To single out one record, look it up with "xxx", where xxx is one of the
of the records displayed above. If the records are the same, look them up
with "=xxx" to receive a full display for each record.

The Registry database contains ONLY .COM, .NET, .ORG, .EDU domains and
Registrars.

I've checked all over register.com for a way to update that IP address in internic's database. no luck..

If anyone has info on a way I can fix this, PLEASE let me know.

Thanks,
Darren
