I am against the proposed changes for the following reasons:

This new concept of weighted dollar consensus is dangerous and gives rise to the contuned favoritism  within the ICANN procees to existing large companies.

If passed, it sets a dangerous precedent for other SO groups. Should AOL or earthlink have a greater voice than others in the ISP constituency, should Verisign Registry have a larger voice in the registriar consituency because of their size?  Should Microsoft or General Electirc outrank all others in the Business Consensus group because they are big companies.

ICANN's mandate was to serve the interest of the Internet Community. The attempt here to create a scheme to preserve the power of one registry operator, or even a clubby little group of the largest registry operators continue to add to the perception that this is an insiders only, rigged marketplace.

ICANN has yet to prove they represent the interest of the Internet Community, and allowing this to take place futher weakens the credence ICANN staff and its CEO want to wield regarding the legitimacy behind "bottom up" processes.

Bottom up decision making processes should not be rigged toward large companies.
