Domain for Education

Complete domain names seem split between various levels of education,
but the Internet now has many teachers and tutors who wish to offer
online instruction independently (often for little or no fee as a
nonprofit service).  I would like to be able to have a domain name as
follows:
seehafer.ed
"Seehafer" is my name.
".ed" would represent an independent educator or educational
institution  not really properly classified as a business (com or net)
AND not now covered by "edu" (which is unnecessarily restricted to 4
year colleges or universities).
"net" and "org" are not quite right for individual instructors or
virtual schools.
