IDN ccTLD and IDN gTLD processes

It is ICANN's responsibility to insure there is no unfair advantage to
neither the IDN ccTLD or the IDN gTLD processes.

IDN.IDN for both needs to be ICANN's top priority as the new ASCII gTLD are
speculative and the need is not established yet the need for IDN's is
real, immediate and awaited by thousands of both private and commercial
users.

The IDN gTLD process should have no connection to the new ASCII gTLD process
and should go in parallel with the IDN ccTLD fast track process.

With the current available solutions (IDN.ASCII) ICANN is preventing the
natural progression of the Internet where English is not spoken.

Once the registrants, both private and corporations will get the IDN.IDN
equivalents to they're registered IDN.ASCII domains, they will only then be
able to enjoy the luxury taken as a given to an English speaker, Typing a
destination URL in one language.

Neither group should get an unfair advantage and time is running out as any
further delays are a real threat to the root as a whole. Governments
received what they desperately wanted, it is time ICANN confirms the many
thousands of registrants and not only governments get a fully operational
domain name.

The group recently formed which contains members from both the ccNSO
and GNSO is a welcome change, the ICANN community must work together and
insure both IDN ccTLD's and IDN gTLD's are implemented at root level at the
same time.

Sincerely,
David Cohen.
