To whom it may concern,
The DAG3 is revised with sections detailed or eliminated, just like ICANN
participants coming and going for the past few years. But one thing made
mandatory in Module 5 is that DNSSEC is required for all applicants. Even
though DNSSEC is implemented in many ccTLDs with Sweden as the pioneer country,
in the IGF meeting last week, the representative from Swedish government
offices warmed that “…and also taking into account the fact that signing the
root zone with a small root is going to be much different than if you do it
with a big root” Actually, the case is quite different if ICANN decides to sign
the root soon. It might cover potential users worldwide. Why couldn’t give the
applicant their own choice?
