Dear All,
I beg the ICANN board to consider modifying Section 2.2.1.1.3 of the
guidebook as:
current:
"confusion based on any type of similarity (including visual, aural, or
similarity of meaning) may be claimed by an objector"
to change to:
"confusion based on visual similarity may be claimed by an
objector"
The prosed text is really dangerous and will prevent all probable IDN gTLD
applications from being approved in future, as companies who receive their
ASCII gTLDs will object to any new IDNs, that have for example only
similarity in meaning.
With my highest respect,
Ivo Genov
