ALAC review
The report seemed to me clear and cogent. People Who is a group of individual users and it is indeed difficult to sustain enough interest in the detail of ICANN activities. Mostly I observe, though with interest. Recommendation 10, about clearer and briefer issue and priority statements might make end-user entry easier. The report doesn't cover access for people with reading-related disabilities. Older text readers have problems with .pdf files. And the report doesn't mention policies about open-source. I've received questionnaires as MS Word .doc files which lost formatting when I opened in WordPerfect. Staff weren't able to open replies from me which were Word Perfect .wpd files. I agree that the lengthy technical email discussions are awkward but I don't know about the accessibility issues for people with disabilities and wikis. Sylvia Sylvia Caras People Who NA RALO |
