Luc Faubert give me this insight on the application of ISOC Sudan. I have
talked with ISOC Staff in the past about this.
Do you think you can send us an updated list of ISOC Chapters?

Don't know where these guy's ALS application is in the process nor if this
was noticed by ALAC, but they're not part of the official chapter list on
ISOC's site. I've sent a mail to Terry Monroe (below) who said he would
check them out.
 
Also, I don't remember if you're on the Chapter delegates list, but we just
got an email from ISOC Tunisia announcing an Arab group -- of which ISOC
Sudan is apparently part. See mail at the very end of this one.
 
Just thought I should flag this for ALAC,

Dear All,
First, on behalf of the Tunisian chapter I would like to welcome Anne Lord
on board and congratulate her for her nomination as Sr. Manager of Chapters
& Individual Members.
Second, I would like to announce the creation of the Arab Internet
Societies, a union of Arabic internet societies working to develop internet
in the Arab countries.
This union is composed for the moment of 7 members : ISOC Tunisia, ISOC
Palestine, ISOC Bahrain, ISOC Sudan, Emirates Internet Group, Kuwait
Information Technology Society.
The office of the AISOC will be hosted at the Knowledge Village, Dubai, UAE.
The honoror president of the AISOC is Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohamed bin Rached
bin El Maktoum prince of Dubai.
All our colleagues from Arab countries are invited to join as.
