[alac] Board says yes to restocking fee for .org, no to *.travel
An AP newswire story by Nick Jesdanun points to the recently posted minutes of the 22 Nov board call. They approved PIR's proposal for a restocking fee for egregious domain tasters in .org, and turned down the proposal for *.travel. There was no action on any of the registry renewals. Most interesting quote: Tralliance President Ron Andruff said Thursday his company had yet to be informed of a decision and noted a public-comment period wasn't scheduled to end until Dec. 7. An ICANN spokesman had no immediate explanation. I was no fan of *.travel, but it's hard to understand why they couldn't wait and follow the process they set up.
