Summary of Public Comments on Proposed Global Policy for Autonomous System
Numbers
Submitted by ICANN Staff on behalf of:
Leo Vegoda
Operational Excellence Officer
IANA
--------------------------------------------------
In line with relevant procedures, the Proposed Global Policy for Autonomous
System Numbers, sent by the ASO AC to the Board for ratification, was posted
for public comments on 23 July 2010 with 13 August as deadline for comments.
The only comment received did not express any objection to the Proposal. The
comment is summarized below:
1.<http://forum.icann.org/lists/asn-proposal-2010/msg00000.html> From ipv3.com
(not signed by name, but the registrant of the domain is listed as Jim Fleming
in the WhoIs record), discussing the properties of two Internet Protocol
versions that have not been registered in the IANA Internet Protocol Version
Numbers Registry[1]. It also states that ICANN and the RIRs can be dissolved.
The comment neither supports nor opposes the Proposal.
