transcription of the BC meeting with ICANN financial staff has kicked off this
process. I, too, would like to participate. Our mission on the
Mission is not unlike the work of which I was a part in the early '80s when I
worked for the Associated General Contractors of America in Washington,
D.C.</div><div><br></div><div>The AGC was a trade association of folks who
built bridges, dams, skyscrapers, tunnels and other large public and private
works. It was a mix of contractors from every part of the country and
included those who were signatory to union contractors and those who worked
open shop (no unions).</div><div><br></div><div>With the election of Ronald
Reagan as President and a deliberate shift of power to the states, these
differences began to affect the day-to-day comity. And then came the
competitive pressure from the Associated Builders and Contractors, a trade
group that focused on one issue: open shop.</div><div><br></div><div>It caused
the AGC to rethink its Mission. Sounds familiar. The task was to
set goals that were inclusive and actionable. It meant that contractors
with some different interests could still work together effectively.
</div><div><br></div><div>I think we can accommodate our modest disparate
interests by focusing on those things that bind us all, like asking for clear
business rules (so we can know what do to), that they be consistent (so that we
can confidently invest) and that they reinforce ease of use (so that we can
focus on building customer/client loyalty).</div><div><br></div><div>Let's get
this party

is small, but it means a lot to me and that's the reason i've been so involved

125);">I agree with Jonathan domain portfolio management issues are critical to
most businesses I think the BC focuses on some of the issues that impact
management such as WHOIS, registrar compliance with the RAA, registrar and
registry security etc. I know there are other issues I face with
managing a portfolio that are not addressed in the
