Sarah:
I have no connection to this event other than seeing something about it
yesterday on my Twitter feed and deciding it might be worth going to and
advising others involved with ICANN about it.
I know Alex Stamos and it is my understanding that he is a security expert; I
know he gave a talk at the Black Hat conference last month that got some press
attention. I believe that Jim Galvin also has credentials in this area.
As for overall balance on the name collision issue panels, I would concur that
it's not readily apparent as I expect that all the applicant representatives
will say that ICANN has overstated the risks and introduced unwarranted delay.
On the other hand, we can expect that ANA will say that ICANN hasn't gone far
enough.
If you come by the event we can critique over drinks afterward, which
apparently will take place on the rooftop of ICANN's offices overlooking the
White House.
Best regards, Philip

Phil,
Thanks for sharing. I would expect a more balanced panel of speakers here.
Who are the actual security experts?
Thanks,
Sarah
