events.<u></u><u></u></div> <div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;"><u></u>&nbsp;<u></u></div><div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;">Most previous events have seen a very low turnout of
local business leaders. <u></u><u></u></div><div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;">I appreciate it is difficult to organize remotely but
we need attendance of 100+ to make this worthwhile to do outreach for ICANN,
for the BC, and for ourselves. <u></u><u></u></div> <div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;"><u></u>&nbsp;<u></u></div><div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;">The only way is via local business organizations such
as Chamber of Commerce and get them on board and excited anout a meeting for
<u>their members</u> &nbsp;that ICANN funds.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is an opportunity
for their members to learn about ICANN and BC and meet us, the travelling
business people in town.<u></u><u></u></div> <div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;"><u></u>&nbsp;<u></u></div><div class="MsoNormal"
style="font-size:12pt;">I am member of a number of chambers, and I am thinking
about it from the other side. &nbsp;If it was properly and well advance
promoted within the Chamber there would be a good turnout.&nbsp;&nbsp; Perhaps
that needs a Chamber committee member well on board.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; If
not and the invite is just emails and phone calls then the chamber might just
send a few along as a courtesy.&nbsp; I don’t know the organizational route to
date but the outcome in the past has been the latter.<u></u><u></u></div> <div
class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:12pt;"><u></u>&nbsp;<u></u></div><div
class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:12pt;">Again it may need a ICANN and/or BC
member to make an advance visit to personally meet and present to the chamber
committee and get them so on board. <u></u><u></u></div> <div class="MsoNormal"
