To The ICANN Board of Directors,
As a business person who derives much of his income from online enterprises I
cannot in good faith support or agree with the proposal for variable pricing
for .biz domains. This does not appear to help or serve the registrant, which
I might add is the backbone of the internet, in any positive way. I do not see
anything wrong or unfair about the current domain system, nor do I see anything
beneficial about changing it in such a drastic fashion.
Variable pricing is unwise as it would appear to provide an open path to price
gouging, greatly inflated prices and restrictions for small businesses to use
and benefit from the internet. I think it would not only be a grave disservice
to them, but also be very detrimental to the internet overall.
Sincerely,
Mark Washburn
