APTLD Comment on Recommendation #5

*COMMENTS FROM APTLD ON THE ICANN BOARD REVIEW WORKING GROUP REPORT*

APTLD values the work being done by the Board. However, we note that due 
to the work schedule and the need to travel to Board meetings, the 
possible candidates are those that have financial support, either from 
independent organisations, their own business or other sources. To 
enable candidates that are able to contribute effectively and represent 
a wider perspective, we suggest that ICANN consider remunerating the 
Board members for their services.
Board members who do have independent financial support may choose to 
channel any such remuneration back to ICANN. But members who do not have 
support will be able to participate much more effectively.
