This definition cannot be applied to the term "Non-Latin", as has been done in
the draft. One alternative would be to change the wording:
The term "non-Latin script" is used here to designate any script that does not
contain the twenty-six letters listed in the US-ASCII character set (a-z),
either in their basic forms or with combining marks.
