Generic Names not for For-Profit Corporates
As a citizen of the internet and a software engineer this issue worries me greatly. Generic TLDs should not be controlled by profit-making companies. They should be controller by custodian entities for the use of all. Furthermore the ICANN must provide a set of regulations that govern how these TLDs are to be managed, and take actions against custodians that fail in this respec.
