Criteria for Ethos Award

To whom it may concern:

the criteria submitted for discussion for the proposed Ethos Award are
mainly, if not only, about feel-good make-friends types of
interactions.They do not consider effectiveness, avoidance of conflict of
interest, nor serving the higher interests of the organization and its
community.

ICANN's ethos without a measure of effectiveness in serving ICANN's core
technical-coordination meeting would be an empty shell. I urge whoever
makes the final decision to consider this, at the price of ridiculing ICANN
and those in its community who work hard for actual results.
