Please find attached version 1.0 of the joint JAS/simMachines study

                                                In this study, we analyze 
nonexistent domain (NXD) responses issued
from the Root Nameservers in response to queries for names within proposed
new Generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs). We focus our analysis on the Second
Level Domain (SLD) strings in these queries and, where available, the IP
addresses making the queries to the Root.

                                                The Study provides statistics 
concerning the entire population of
queries resulting in NXD responses, as well as details for each of the
proposed new gTLDs. The data is based on the "Day In The Life" (DITL) data
collected by the DNS-OARC.
