Basis for Retention Duration unclear

Dear Cyrus,

the notice does not provide any insight into the legal basis of the ability of 
the registrar to retain the data for a period of one year after the end of the 
agreement with the registrant. 

Please provide a detailed explanation of the legal basis of the one year 
retention period.
