ICANN Privacy and WHOIS data

Dear ICANN –

I am against your proposed changes to rules about 3rd party privacy
services for WHOIS data (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services
Accreditation Issues Policy document).

Public WHOIS records are a treasure trove of personal information for
anyone with an internet connection. At best, it leads to unwanted marketing
communications, and at worst it leads to identity theft, domain ransoming,
abusive trolling and targeted stalking.

Personal information should only be revealed to law enforcement agencies
with the appropriate and required legal documentation.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
