Regarding Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues Policy document

Dear ICANN –

As a sole proprietor who operates out of his home selling on eBay, I would
strongly urge you to respect my right to privacy and due process.

Due to state tax laws, a person selling even three pencils in separate
transactions is now required to register for a sellers permit and obtain a
city business license.

Because my licenses are in my name, despite having a generic user name to
sell on eBay, my personal information become vulnerable if I am unable to
use third party WHOIS privacy through my domain provider.

Imagine, if instead of having a business address for ICANN, your personal
home address, name and phone number were published on the internet, just
because you logged on to eBay and sold four things out of your closet.

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
