A Man Needs Privacy

Dear ICANN –

I am a stepfather that blogs in an effort to help other stepdads. I am also
a doctor, a son, a husband, and businessman. It's best that these different
hats be able to be kept apart.

My hope is to contribute to society in anyway I can. I fear that this
action that you are considering could dissuade others and myself from
making valuable contributions to those that benefit from such content.

My patients have no interest in my activities as a stepfather. My family
has no business knowing what I do in my spare time. Please explain to me
what good could come of your proposed actions compared to current
procedures.

Howtostepdad.com is my part time project. I may wish to monetize
(commercialize) this project. Please respect my efforts and my privacy. Let
my proxy be my whois contact for the sake of individual liberty and
privacy.

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
