Dear ICANN -
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one's personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
I am a single mum, and run a small internet based service business with
clients worldwide, but I don't want my details available for all to see. I
should not have to endanger my personal safety to run a business to support
myself and my son. Employees do not have such violation of their rights -
neither should the self-employed.
Please keep private information - private
Thank You
Susan Weeks
