Dear ICANN –

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

As an independent innovator, the proposed change could possibly threaten
the safety of my family, as my registrar address is my home address. I
provide a simple free TODO list application, open to the public at
https://mygoal.space. Hopefully I will someday reach a point where it takes
in enough money to pay for my costs in hosting it - so it is/will be a
commercial venture.

If ICANN disallows anonymous WHOIS service, I will have to consider
shutting down this minor service that I am providing, due to the privacy
considerations introduced.

I suspect that those pushing for this change are looking for exactly that
outcome - enforcing my inability to create an innovative web service.

For that reason, I oppose the change, and encourage ICANN to continue to
support anonymous WHOIS records, for those of us who are behaving as
upright responsible net citizens.

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.

- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.

- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
