ICANN,

Thousands, if not millions, of activists for various causes around the world
(religious, social, political, gender, etc) run ads or sell shirts and stickers
on their websites in order to keep their views on the Internet and let their
voice be heard. Such transactions are, strictly speaking, commercial, in the
absence of non-profit registration and the complicated variance in
country-by-country recognition of such.

Many activists, for many causes in this world, fear retaliation and violence
against themselves and their families. They therefore choose to protect their
identities from Internet trolls, harassers, and criminals by registering
privately for domains.

DO NOT PUT THEIR LIVES AT RISK IN ORDER TO APPEASE CORPORATIONS. The subpoena
process WORKS in copyright and trademark cases, and it prevents bad people from
gaining the access they need to harm others.

Best,
Michael Campbell
