The idea that private registration for domain names should be stopped
for the benefit of copyright-holding gangs of lobbyists is absolutely
ridiculous.

A private interest group should have no input, whatsoever, into the
operation or standards of the internet as a whole. ICANN is in a
unique position, you make the rules that most people willingly follow.
The MPAA/RIAA knows this, of course, which is why we're having this
discussion instead of you laughing them out of the room.

Do the right thing and do not torpedo the integrity of the internet
for the benefit of a small few.
