ICANN - Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues Policy
To: comments-ppsai-initial-05may15@xxxxxxxxxSubject: ICANN - Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues PolicyFrom: David Dunning <dldunning@xxxxxxxxx>Date: Sat, 27 Jun 2015 12:16:37 -0700

Dear ICANN –
I am writing in regard to the proposed rules governing companies that
provide WHOIS privacy services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy
Services Accreditation Issues Policy document):
If the current privacy rules are relaxed, it seems a sure bet that at a
minimum, we will see a big increase in email spam to everyone who has
registered domain names. Please don't open the door for this and more
abusive invasions of our privacy.
I urge you to preserve and respect internet users' rights to privacy and
due process.
- We all deserve the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court
order, regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual
or law enforcement agency
Thank you,
David Dunning
Portland, Oregon
