 ICANN - Respect Our Privacy
To: comments-ppsai-initial-05may15@xxxxxxxxxSubject: ICANN - Respect Our PrivacyFrom: Christopher Seidler <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>Date: Sat, 27 Jun 2015 20:37:25 +0100
 Dear ICANN
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document), I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and
due process.
No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency. I am semi-retired, dealing in antique militaria only from
my website, but my contact details are also my home ones and to reveal them
would make my wife and I vulnerable. I therefore prefer my personal data to be
kept private - I do not want my personal address available to all and sundry.
Your proposals endanger everyone's basic right to privacy.
Yours sincerely
Chris Seidler
