Dear ICANN –
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):
I have several very small business that I run websites for and use my home
as my business address. I am continually inundated with spam calls and
junk email. The last thing I want is for my home to become the target for
marketing campaigns. I urge you therefore to respect the current policies
in place that allow for me as a business owner to use a privacy service to
act as an intermediary for any queries regarding my domain. I continue to
have direct access from customers via email and a telephone number on my
websites.
Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
Chase McCarthy
