Dear ICANN,
This is regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS
privacy services,
Please respect the small business owner rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- I for one certainly do not want my personal information, e.g. name, phone
# and HOME address out on the wide world web
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
UNLESS, those persons are a THREAT to human lives and society, e.g.,
terrorists, with video training websites --you see my point. But for a
business owner, attempting a living, wow what an invasion of privacy.
Seriously would YOU want all YOUR personal information out there, on the
wide world web for ANY one to peruse?? No, of course not, I didn't think
so, and YES, I realize THAT IS a silly question, but it needed asking.
Private information absolutely should be kept private.
Thank you.
