Dear ICANN -

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.

- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.

- No one's personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.

In addition, please consider this:

People will die if you do this. Be under no illusions, YOU will have blood
on your hands. The release of personal information in this way, in this
context will expose countless numbers of innocent and worthy people to
vilification, persecution and violence at the hands of ruthless criminals,
totalitarian Governments, violent ex-partners & corrupt organisations not to
mention the "Trolls" who love to interfere in the lives of others just for
the fun of it.

This is not the way forward. Take leadership and responsibility and choose
a wiser path.

Yours, in trust,

J. Clarke
