Dear ICANN -
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document):
The number of people that this will affect negatively is far greater than the
number of individuals and companies this is attempting to help. And, those who
are being targeted by this policy change will not be affected; they have either
provided false information or won't even lose their privacy because they don't
satisfy the conditions of the new rules. So, this will help so few and hurt so
many. The current laws provide for access to this information. Having to get a
court order filters out all those who are not seeking justice.
Private information should remain private.
