Just a short note,

I currently have several domains registered through a WHOIS protection
service. These services are vital to me, primarily as a means of resisting
spammers - WHOIS databases are publicly available with very little internet
know how, and putting not only your name and a functioning email but your
physical address online is a fools errand.

This is quite aside from the realities of settled case law of anonymity and
the first amendment. This is just about whether you allow people to host
their own websites (good) or force them to go through large corporations
(bad) to avoid spam.

Please do not make changes that make these services more difficult to offer.

Dave
