Dear Sirs
The new TLD string confusion objections administered by the IDRC and the ICC,
were quite frankly, ludicrous. Not only were they completely inconsistent, the
results were entirely dependent on who the panelist was, not the actual merits
of the case.
Both objectors and applicants have filed reconsideration requests with ICANNs
board and both sides have been summarily rejected by the board governance
committee. What makes DER Cars LLC and United TLD special? The "framework
principles" proposed are utterly absurd.
And by what right are the NGPC involved? What has happened to the GNSO anyway?
Why hasn't Jonathan Robinson weighed in on this? The NGPC is treading on
hallowed ground of policy change. The GNSO have to tell them in no uncertain
terms that they should stay off the heart of GNSO terrain.
Regards
Rudi Fras
