The petition should be rejected out-of-hand.
Groups that believe in apparitions should not be allowed to set morality
standards for collective society.
The goals of online safety are noble but when employed by religious groups
under the moniker 'zoning' the endeavor becomes a deceitful cover for the
imposition of archaic moral frameworks.
A select group (consisting mainly of members associated with right-wing
organizations or extreme feminist groups that essentially hate men) will
(according to cp80) "designate content specific ports and appropriate penalties
to ensure compliance. Furthermore, individual governments would be free to
implement additional laws as appropriate for their citizens to enhance the
adoption and enforcement of this approach."
Not only do these slimebags want to CHOOSE content but they wish to FORCE
COMPLIANCE!!
We are will EXIT the brave new world if this mindset from the middle-ages gains
a foothold on the Internet.
