Looks like Jack Avilar was right about Yahoo, they came out and supported
their own motion. It looks like the guy who actually proposed this motion,
Mike Rodenbaugh, actually works for Yahoo. This is from his Statement of
Interest (http://gnso.icann.org/council/soi/rodenbaugh-soi-30jan08.shtml)
I consult and provide advice to Yahoo! Inc. with respect to Yahoo!'s
interests at ICANN, and provide legal services to Yahoo! in a variety of
other matters.
It looks like they are just trying to get ICANN to help boost their stock
price by changing policy so they can be making all the money.
