hi all,
the Board DNS Risk Management working group is having a public session on
Thursday, immediately prior to our public meeting. they've published a draft
charter that they will be working through during that session. here's a link;
http://www.icann.org/en/other/dns-risk-mgmt/draft-charter-28feb12-en.pdf
i visited with Bill Graham (the chair of the working group) this morning and i
think there's beautiful music to be made in a collaboration between our two
groups. to help understand what key and what respective parts we sing, i think
it would be great to take a look at their draft charter and match it up with
ours.
here's my 90,000-foot Mikey-answer to the question "what's the difference
between the DSSA and the Board DNS Risk Management WG?" recognize that i made
this up on the fly when Don Blumenthal posed the question, so no warranty
expressed or implied. :-)
-- we're first -- so we've produced a bunch of stuff that may be useful to the
Board committee
-- we're broader in our charter -- we're looking at the whole DNS whereas
they're focusing on ICANN
that concludes my report.
