  Rick Koeller:in reality when a risk materializes it is an incident

  Rick Koeller:here at cira, our security function is a key stakeholder in our 
risk management process, they contribute , monitor, and responde to  a  
significant number of our risks - key stakeholder and collaborator of risk 
managment

  Patrick Jones:Within an ICANN-internal context, the ICANN Security team also 
performs this function, n that we coordinate across the organization 
internally, contribute and monitor, but also support our IT Deparment and 
provide an "auditing function"

  Patrick Jones:We also have a reporting function to the ICANN Board Risk 
Committee

  Rick Koeller:i believe so

  Julie Hammer:It may be that when the Board DNS-RMF WG produces their Risk 
Management Framework (hopefully based on functions) that we may need to come 
back and align/adapt this framework that we produce.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:why not have SecMx as a subset of Operational in our 
context then?

share point at least...

to point you to a document we published in April 2010 from a collaboration 
analysis workshop conducted in DC. Please disregard the words DNS-CERT in this 
report, and just focus on the content.

disregard "DNS-CERT". I think the content is still useful.
