I STRONGLY SUPPORT any manner of reducing delays to the new TLD process. The EoI is smart project management
I STRONGLY SUPPORT new Top Level Domains being introduced as quickly as possible, and doing so in a responsible way that can address some of the few outstanding prickly issues that are being worked through or being identified for their authentic significance (or lack thereof) for addressing. I strongly support any manner of reducing current delays to the new TLD process. The Expressions of Interest concept represents a pragmatic method of moving the new gTLDs process forward in a manner is constructive and measurable with clear benefits. As a person strongly in favor of the Expression Of Interest concept as a way to move the new TLD process forward, I would like to comment later with the results of the draft work that a very diverse team of applicants and productive parties have collaborated on. For the benefit of all who may not have seen them, please find attached three pieces of correspondence previously sent to ICANN regarding the "Expressions of Interest" and a draft working group. We have captured many diverse thoughts and comments on the various aspects of operating an Expression of Interest period, and are synthesizing the feedback currently from an initial conference call held on Monday, November 9, 2009, along with emails received by the team of editors. We hope to submit this additional documentation within days to this comment area. I hold deep gratitude to the board for their wisdom and active listening to the many, many voices that were heard at the public forum in Seoul who chose to reccomend a productive way forward and engaging on the concept of Expressions of Interest. -Jothan Jothan Frakes, COO Minds + Machines +1.206-355-0230 tel +1.646-365-3000 fax jothan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.mindsandmachines.com/ Attachment:
