RE: [gnso-cc-idn-tld-rg] Meeting Agenda for 18 Dec

We had set two targets: 1) draft by 20 Dec; 2) final by 18 Jan.
Considering that the January Council meeting is scheduled for 17 Jan.,
we would miss that meeting anyway. But I do believe that it would be
good to get our final to the Council with as much lead time as possible
before the next Council meeting. But we could extend our self-imposed
target by one week and it probably would be okay.

I am one who believes strongly that we should deliver the GNSO response
to the issues paper as soon as possible. The IDNC group is proceeding
and some of what they are considering relates to the questions asked in
the issues paper so it seems to me that timeliness is very important.

So far only two people have responded regarding availability on the
19th. Before making a decision on whether to have a call on the 19th, I
would like to see others' availability. If only one or at most two of
our group cannot make a call on the 19th, then I would recommend that we
go ahead and proceed with a meeting unless the group feels differently.
Those who are unable to make the call would then be able to review the
work done by the group and provide their feedback on the list with final
decisions made in a later call.

Chuck,

I will not be able to do the 19th.

What is the rush here? As far as I know the timelines are only those
that we have imposed right? When do we have to have it back to the GAC
and ccNSO for consideration?

I suggest pushing it back to the beginning of next year. This is a busy
period for all of us.

Regards,

Subject: [gnso-cc-idn-tld-rg] Meeting Agenda for 18 Dec

Here's the proposed agenda for our meeting next Tuesday, 18 December.

Please note that we targeted completing a rough draft by 20 December.
Because we were unable to have a meeting this week (due to travel
schedules for Edmon and I), that gives us very little time to accomplish
this. And I doubt that we will be able to complete a rough draft on the
18th, even if we spend two hours as planned. Therefore, I would like to
find out if everyone can participate in a meeting at the same time on
Wednesday, 19 Dec. Please let me know ASAP.
